Dr. B. Van Innis was born in Ghent and completed his secondary education at Sint-Barbaracollege in Ghent. He studied medicine at Ghent State University. His training in orthopedic surgery took place at Sint-Vincentius Hospital in Gent (now AZ St. Lucas), Aalst City Hospital, (ASZ) and UZ Gent, where he earned his certificate as a specialist in orthopedics under the guidance of Prof. R. Verdonk. Since then, he has practiced at AZ Oudenaarde. Recently, he expanded his activities to Brussels and Antwerp.

I take a personalized approach with each patient, as everyone is different. I take the time to explain this in clear, understandable language. For one patient, surgery may be the best option, while for another with similar injuries, a non-surgical approach may be the better choice.

Over the years, I have learned to assess the possibility of treating each patient without surgery, whenever this is possible.

Hip and shoulder conditions are my areas of specialization, and I always offer the most appropriate treatment in these areas. This includes staying up to date with recent advancements that have already proven their effectiveness.
